Birthplace: I was born in Chiclayo , in the department of Lambayeque which is the northern part of Peru . It is a very warm city and the people are very open, caring, and easy going. Because of the warm climate the city is more liberal. The economy is low and it has a lot of tourism. My mother's name is Erudite Reyes Huancas. My father is Segundo Mayanga Odar. I have 6 siblings. The first one in my family to become a believer was my mother about 28 years ago. After that most of her children were saved. My parents are separated and my Dad has made a life separate from us. My mother put much effort into giving us love and the closeness of a family. Even though we didn't have our father around, she was always a great example to us. Two of my siblings are married and my older sister is married to a pastor. 

How I came to know Christ: Because my mother took me to church, on one evening service I recognized my lost condition as a sinner and trusted Christ to save me. I thank God because he rescued me from Hell. The lady who witnessed to me was Eulalia Guzman. 

How Christ has changed my Life: After being saved, I spent four years just going to church but started to get away from God because of the influence of my worldly friends. There did come a time when God disciplined me: I had family problems with my mother and with her second engagement as well as personal problems with my “friends”. At that point I realized that the only refuge for my life was Christ and that without Him I could do nothing. After hearing a message from Carlos Marquina I came back to God and since that time (November 2001) I gave my life completely to God. 

My Calling into the Ministry: I began to work in the church with the young ladies. God showed me I should prepare myself for serving Him full-time. Then, William Velarde and Carlos Marquina told me about a Seminary in Arequipa . I am certain of His call on my life for full-time service because when I was explained that one could surrender to full time service I had such peace, joy and security I new it was for me too. I then decided to surrender my life completely in this way. I was also able to understand that God wanted to use me more in relation with the young ladies. The reason why I came to this seminary was because unlike all the others I was able to see Biblical doctrine in what was taught. Also because of the fact that there is much practice taught along with theory and it is balanced well. I am graduating this year and I am asking God to show me the place where He wants me to serve. 

My Plans for the Future: I would like to do something great with the young ladies ministry. If God permits I would like to be the right kind of help meet for my future husband. I want to have a good relationship with the young ladies so that I can help them prepare for the ministry and provide them with the right kind of spiritual growth. I would also like to have a kind of internship to help them learn more about the Word of God and prepare them for the ministry. I would like to be a missionary's wife. I am praying about Africa and if that is where God wants me! Amen!!
