Birthplace: My name is Mercedes Katherine Tito Copa; mi parents are Esteban Tito Chávez and Margarita Isabel Copa Soto. I have a half sister and 3 other siblings: Magaly Sobeida Vigil Copa (34), William Esteban (27), Paul Alfredo (25), and Sara Isabel (23). I was born September 23rd, 1987 in the district of Arequipa, in the province of Arequipa , in the department of Arequipa , Peru .

How I came to know Christ: I come from a Catholic family that was pretty faithful to the doctrines and comparted to the processions and rituals. My parents and siblings fulfilled every sacrament as did I. My family was very close but had financial problems because my parents did not know how to administer their money very well which caused a lot of arguments and poverty. My father was generally sober and not a man taken by worldly things. My mother was very passive, calm, caring and patient. This caused me to want to be a loving and very effusive with people. When I was 15 we moved to Hunter. Through this move we were able to meet missionary Greg Anderson that came to our house while on visitation. My mother was already saved but after being invited to this missionary's church we began to go. On October of 2003, while on a follow up trip to my house Bro Anderson explained to me how to be saved. I understood about the judgment and the imminent danger my life was in, and this caused me to decide I wanted to receive Christ as my Savior in that moment.

How Christ has changed my Life: My life totally changed not through external attitudes but in inward attitudes. I was very grateful for the love that God has shown me. I started to have my daily devotions and I had a desire to tell others about Christ. My family began to take me out of their world and I stopped going to the places I used to go all the time with them. As I moved apart from their routine we stopped being close. They thought I was crazy and hoped that I was just going through some stage that I would soon get over it. Now there are 4 of us in my family that are saved: My mother, my sister Magaly, my sister Sara and I. I pray for the salvation of the others. They have all at some point stepped foot in church and even come close to making a decision for Christ but never did.

My Calling into the Ministry: I have grown a lot spiritually in this time and I have been able to develop the nursery and children's ministry of the church. I have been more involved with the ministries of my church than with my family. Because of this my family started to really get angry with my way of life and made fun of my way of dressing. They wanted to buy me pants and things like that. Before I used to cry about wanting pants but now I cry about wanting skirts althought my family did not want to get me any. I ended up having to sell some of my old clothes in order to buy Christian apparel. It was around this time that the ICFWE (International Conference for World Evangelization) began. In one of these conferences I made the decision to serve the Lord full-time after hearing a message from Pastor Elmer Fernandez that talked about how our lives are like smoke that vanishes and that the time to serve God is NOW and how we should not hold off until tomorrow. Although my parents wanted me to get into the University because of my scholarship they said it was my decision. In August of 2004 I went to the Seminary to begin my preparation. I've been studying there for a year now and it has meant a great deal to me. It has been an intense preparation in developing my character, my passion for the lost and a Bible knowledge that is indispensable to serve God. This makes us people who are prepared to efficiently do the ministry and though some might not see it this way, the call of God is the greatest service and the greatest work of all. Also the seminary has helped me to changed my way of thinking about success, not in a material way but in accomplishing with your life the plan of God.

My Plans for the Future: God has placed in my heart a desire to work in the young girls teen ministry, disciplining and teaching them. I can see the change that these girls suffer through and how they struggle. I want to specialize in developing an effective ministry with this group of young ladies. I believe that God wants me to a missionary's wife and I hope I'll be a good help meet for him. I'm asking the Lord to give the person He wants me to have and that I might be the person that God wants me to be. I want to work good and hard in order to have the rewards that God has for me. I hope to be faithful.
