Birthplace: My name is Jenny Isabel Gutierrez Mamani. My parents are Tomas Gutierrez Mamani and Dominga Mamani Puma. I have one brother named Saul Lud and he is fifteen years old.

How I came to know Christ: I was born into a Catholic family and when I was four years old my parents started attending the Seventh Day Adventist Church. I attended there until I was nine years old with all of my family. Later we moved because my father did not agree with the church and so we began attending another church. Later we tried to go to the Catholic church but our beliefs didn’t agree with theirs either. When I was 14 years old, I met a young lady named Lucy. She invited me to the Peruvian Evangelical church and I began to go to the youth meetings and I had friends that seemed to be pleasant people. I enjoyed it all for a short time. I went to the church and also to parties. I did not understand how to receive Jesus or hear a very clear message. My life seemed good but I felt emptiness so that when I moved away, I tried to take refuge in people and entertainment. My parents always said that I could choose my own religion. Then at the age of sixteen, someone knocked on the door of my house and invited me to Liberty Baptist Church and I decided to go. Very prideful, I didn’t want to go. Trusting in Christ was always a battle inside of me. I was not prepared to let go of my ways for God but I could not fight with God. One Sunday night, I surrendered at the foot of God and from then I knew I had Him in me. Then I wanted to pray, to go to the church, and to spend time with my first love.

My Calling into the Ministry: Christ began to change my life. He told me that the worldly music, entertainment, and friends that I had made were bad. I began to work in the church and consider the obstacles. I heard of the seminary and decided to give my life completely to God. In a camp at the Bible College for pastors, that were working there, they helped me a lot and I gave up all to follow the will of God for my life. I know that He said to be in the Bible college because to consider what I am I know God wants to do something magnificent with me.

My Plans for the Future: Today, I am in the Macedonia Baptist Bible College living for God completely and preparing to be a wife to a great pastor, to plan against all the difficulties and to live by faith. God has been great and merciful with his goodness in my life, giving me clothes, food, and above all the great pastors that have helped in the seminary with your council, knowledge, and teaching. Today I am in the sixth semester and I am learning many wonderful things that are helping me spiritually and in knowing that I want to help people that are lost from bad doctrines and knowing that Christ alone is Savior and Lord. I give thanks to the Gardner family that lives in Peru and thanks to their work, we are able to have a place in a church that gives glory to Christ my Savior and I pray that he will use me. The Seminary is a place in which I have learned a lot and that will help many young people to follow the will of God.
