Birthplace: My name is Irene Mayta Quispe, and I was born on August 28th, 1982, in the province of Azangaro , department of Puno - Peru . My parents were: Godofredo Mayta Mestas and Victoria Quispe Infántes. We are 4 siblings: Jessica (27), Godofredo (25), me (22), and Henry (20).

How I came to know Christ: I come from a Catholic family, so I grew up going to mass every year. My family suffered violence because my father drank a lot alcohol. This happened until I was 7 years old, when my parents got separated and I lived with my father until the age of 13, and because of this I had a disastrous life. He was a teacher and sent to different places, and I was with him so I finished in different schools. By other way I was spoiled by my father, who treats me good, but I got harmful habits in my life. When I was 21 and finished high school and received the degree of Industrial Relations at the university; I found a track with a Salvation Plan, so I decided to receive Christ in my hearth. At the same time Jehovah Witnesses visited my home. The Baptists did it too and they brought my younger brother to the church while my family was together again, after many years of painfully separation, so I went to church though no one else was interested.

How Christ has changed my Life: since February of 2004 I went faithfully to the church, and I had Salvation Security. I started to know the Bible and Its doctrines, because I wanted to be sure what I was doing and right after 2 months I got baptized and began the ministry. When I began to know Biblical doctrines my style of wearing clothes changed, about a month after I went to the church; the music I used to listen and I broke up with my boyfriend. Everything changed, it was beautiful. I served in the nursery, cleaning, youth meetings and visitation. I even was the leader in my local church's nursery. All this happened in 6 months. My family sharply opposed, because they thought we had being deceived, but Thanks to God my mom also came to the church and accepted Christ In my family my mother and siblings are saved but my father is not. I'm praying for him. At least he doesn't drink alcohol in home anymore, only sometimes in some work commitments. He has changed though I'm sure he is not saved.

My Calling into the Ministry: every time someone told me about the Seminary and what they did I felt a living desire to be involved in the wonderful work. Suddenly I decided to quit studying at the university, I didn't inscribe in any course. This decision brought alarm in my family because they didn't think a changed so radical. My parents opposed and though I was insane and all this was a foolishness act. I had to wait one year to know if this was only conviction or a fleeting emotion. I went to the Seminary and they helped me with the registration fee and bus tickets. Everything else is paid by my mother. It's really great when God moves the hearth of your parents. I feel extremely blessed because I know other seminary students situation is not the same. At the Seminary besides getting knowledge, it gives behavior and the experience regarding the testimony from people around you and the ministries they are doing in their local churches, sharing personal dreams, plans, goals they have and achieve in God's work.

My Plans for the Future: I want to be a missionary, single or married. I wish to help in the God's work; still I don't know a specific place. I'm sure that I need to get more preparation and be studying for becoming a heavenly God's server. Once God show me the place He has for me, I would like to train young ladies leaders with the purpose they can extend the work and bring the salvation plan to different places.
