Birthplace: My name is Maryeth Villafurte de Copa. My parent’s names are Leon Artemio Villafuerto Asuero and Nelva Delgad Delgado. I have 2 siblings. I was born on April 8, 1996 in Marcona which is in the Province and Department of Ica Peru.

How I came to know Christ: I was born into a Catholic family where my parents were very devout to the Virgin of Chapi. Every year we had to take a pilgrimage of 7 hours of walking to get to her sanctuary and be able to make requests. My mother promised the Virgin that she would make the pilgrimage with her children for 3 years straight. WE also participated in many activities of the Catholic Church. When I was 12 years of age I went to the Friendship Baptist church and after 3 months of going at a young people meeting I trusted Christ as my Saviour after the pastor showed us the importance of receiving Christ as our Personal Saviour. That is why I put my faith in Christ and received him as y personal Saviour. After that I began to really become interested in the things of God in order to involve myself in the ministries at the church. Then I started to invite my mom to church. At the moment my mother, father and sister are all saved.

How Christ has changed my Life: One of the ways was in College. My attitude toward my fellow students and teachers changed. It was the same way in my home life. My Calling into the Ministry: Before receiving the call of God on my life I had a great inters in serving my country as a police officer. It was something my father wanted me to do as well. However my pastor, Cesar, told me that I should seek God’s will in prayer and see what he wanted for me. After doing just that, I began to want to go to the Seminary. The young people from my church that were studying at the Seminary seemed to have something that I wanted. That is why in 2000 I finally knew God wanted me to serve him in the Seminary and then work full time in the ministry. This was not liked by my parents and only I insisted that this was what God wanted me to do was when they changed their minds and let me go. In 2003 I came to study at the Seminary. It was at that time that my pastor started a ministry called The House of Dorcas which was a place of just girl that wanted to serve God. All of these also went to the Seminary. The seminary has been a university to help me spiritually and theoretically to then to out and use it. It has helped me in my work with the young ladies and children at my church. After 6 months of going at the Seminary I felt that god would have me be the wife of missionary. The Seminary has been a place to help me be polished and perfected to be the woman that God wants for me to be. The teachers have been a great help and a blessing. God has given me the privilege of studying the in the best seminary in the world. I am have been working for 6 years at the Friendship Baptist Church and God has given me the privilege of working in the ministry of children and young ladies.

My Plans for the Future: God has given me the privilege of meeting and marrying a pastor and missionary. We have been married for only a couple of weeks now. My husband is asking God to guide us to the place he has for us.
