Birthplace: My name is Jorge Luis Castillo Muñoz. My parent's names are: Mateo Castillo Quispe and Honorata Muñoz Ramos. I have an older half sister and 2 brothers: Zenaida Canaza Muñoz (20), and Yenny Gabriela (11). I was born November 18th, 1987 in the district of Hunter, in the province of Arequipa , in the department of Arequipa , Peru .

How I came to know Christ: I come from a general Catholic home that did not fulfill anything when it comes to the norms of life. I was baptized when I was 8 years old but never fulfilled any of the Catholic requirements. My father drank regularly and every time he would come home drunk he was very angry and would verbally abuse us. Sometimes he would beat my mother but not us. Whenever this happened I would get under the bed and I began to hate my father to the point where I wanted to kill him. One day after my dad came drunk; he began to argue with my mother and then started to beat her. After that my mom filed a complaint against my dad and he left for a few months. When I was 12 years old we I started going to the “Iglesia Bautista Getzemaní” ( Gethsemane Church ) with one of the church member. I only went for fun because I did not understand the reality of going to church. After a few months though I came to receive Christ after hearing a message about what my destiny would be like without Christ and where I would go. After Bro. Martin explained what I needed to do about it and right then I decided to trust Christ I trusted Christ at that moment.

How Christ has changed my Life: After receiving Christ I was faithful to the church for a while; to my first love, but because of the pull that my friends had on me in my high school and the influence of other people I went back into the world for the four I was in High School. Then I met and started to fall in love with a girl from the church. This made me start going to church again until I realized that I was only doing that out of love for a person and that was wrong. I know that God used my love for this girl to make me get to where I started to truly be faithful to God out of love for Him and sincerely wanted to serve Him and do the right thing. My life changed and I stopped hanging out with bad company, and listen to worldly music. I stopped doing everything that was carnal and sinful and started helping out in the ministries of the church like the visitation and I became an usher. My family did not mind one bit what was going on in my life because they had no idea of how much God was working in me. Thank God my entire family is born again today!! I have some cousins and distant relatives that are still not saved and I pray that I may get a change to witness to them.

My Calling into the Ministry: At this time I went to the VII Youth Congress. I went to every class and in every message I felt convicted about serving God and surrendering my life completely to the ministry. I surrendered to the Lord's service completely because of the need around the world or Christ and also because I felt God had chosen me for His service. I gave up my dreams and ambitions of being a police officer and told God ¨Your will be done in my life.¨ The Youth Congress was a great blessing because God dealt in a specific way in my life. He clearly spoke to me through a message and said ¨I need you. After my decision to enter the Seminary I spoke to my mother about it and she gave me hard time by saying that I would not be living the necessities of life like light, water, television and my own room. She didn't understand that we don't live like kings but as servants. I told her that my desire was to be a pastor and a preacher and after seeing that my resolve was strong, she allowed me to study in the Seminary but not as an intern. Hopefully I will be allowed to enter as a full time student intern soon. The Seminary is a marvelous thing because I know that the best thing one can do is serve God with their whole life and soul, full time. It is a far better place to learn than in an in statute or college because you are prepared for the life and service of the Great King of Kings.

My Plans for the Future: God has placed a desire in my heart to be a missionary. But initially I would like to begin a church and be the pastor for a time. I still don't know where God would have me be a missionary but I am praying and I know that he will show me through my prayers. If I were to fulfill my dream as a pastor I would like to have a strong mirror the ministry that has been done here in Arequipa , Peru . I know I am only beginning my preparation but I hope to be used for the honor and glory of God.
