Birthplace: My name is Henry Mayta Quispe. I am 20 years old. I live in the department of Puno- city of Azangaro . My family consists of 6 people. My parents and 4 brothers. Four of my family members are serving the lord.
How I came to know Christ: I grew up in a catholic family in the midst of family problems. Until the age of 18, I felt a great emptiness in my heart. I felt something was missing and I didn't know what it was. But soon, the lord saw my need, and one day a brother from Iglesia Bautista la Victoria invited me to go to church. I didn't want to, but I had so much spiritual need that I went. It was there that I met the lord and he showed me what I needed and He saved me the second time that I went to the church.
How god changed my Life: I started getting involved little by little in the things of the church. I won my family for Christ. Sadly, the time passed, and my studies started separating me from the lord, but god had to show me his love and he corrected me in a very strong way. Something happened with the girlfriend that I had at that time, and I asked god to give me another chance, and he did. So I started going to church once again.
My Calling into the Ministry: God gave me another chance. So I decided to got the seminary. And so I gave my life to god. I pray that I will do his will. And I pray that he will use me. Everyday that passes here in the seminary, I fall more and more in love with Christ. Because I ask him and I beg him to show me the love that he showed for mankind. I ask him to create in me a new heart, capable of loving the way he did. I want to surrender my life to god, and if necessary, to die for my god. This is what I desire and I know that my lord is going to use me with this power that I feel.
My Plans for the Future: Now I only have one goal and that is to do my father's will and not mine, I will do everything that he asks me to do, I will go to the end of the world if necessary. Everything that I am is thanks to him, because of his mercy and love. I will magnify the lord with my life. |
